I went down a rabbit hole and figured out how to fix some issues, I still have issues but like, I have some cool references now.

(i will be back by then)#a non-snz journal entry before i leave (not expecting anyone to read this):#i think writing humor is an interesting challenge#i remember reading a book in uni where i thought the narration was very interesting and pleasing and sharp#but then reading the reviews for it half a year later and seeing people say 'i couldn't stop laughing when i was reading this' / 'people#on the train were giving me weird looks because i was laughing so hard / this is the funniest book i've read all year' etc. and i remember#feeling distinctly confused... i had not registered that the irony and the sharp commentary were supposed to be funny; they were simply#texturally interesting to me 😭 i also remember submitting a short story draft and having a professor say in workshop 'your writing is very#funny. it reminds me of [movie he liked] which i also found to be very funny'#and i was like 😃❓ (i had also not intended for the story to be funny. but i thought it was a compliment that he read it that way)#humor is so inexplicable to me#i'm working on a series which i actively want to be funny and every time i write out a joke i'm like... fretting a little internally#like do i even know what humor is 😭😭 it's like this relay race exercise where (1) i hand off a scene and (2) the audience interprets it as#playfulness... neither of us is allowed to drop the baton in order for this to work 🏃♀️ it's a little scary??!! it feels so vulnerable#i think it's an interesting problem... trying to find all of these little pockets where i can modulate the tone towards playfulness#alsooooo unrelated... these days i find myself feeling the instinctive need to apologize to everyone 😭 i thought i would be fine#but now looking at myself i'm like... girl something is broken here 😭‼️ i tried rephrasing this in like 10 different ways and#nothing seemed right. anyways for good measure: i am sorry#truthfully i still feel like just half a person sometimes#perhaps i shall reemerge from this break metamorphosed into someone more tolerable 🐛 -> ���

#never encountered this many bugs in one place before but fuck if it doesn't make it more delightful at times#personally I think Sable and teen Aloy would get along quite well even if they had entirely different experiences growing up#actually give me canon age Sable with kid Loy meeting Guard Eliisabet#yes I'm delusional why do you ask#lou plays#Sable#Sable game#fishing msy or may not be broken for me at this point rip. the last three times I tried my game just quit reacting to inputs#couldn't even enter the menu to quit out properly#and between when I saved yesterday after playing and starting up again today it just yeeted the last bit of progress#still not sure what all I lost and if I've managed to get it all back. not sure what will happen next time I play either#if I keep losing progress it may just ruin the fun a little even if I have managed to get almost all the trophies by now#anyway. 100/10 from me even if it's borderline unplayable sometimes. the rest of the time I love it to the ends of the earth#music is great. npcs are wonderful. story and lore are dope. protagonist is a relatable kiddo who you can't help but adore#(and relate to) and the hoverbike is my new child who I will cherish forever#also: the art. but that probably goes without saying. unless you don't like this style in which case I feel bad for you#bc you're missing out#but yeah. don't play unless you don't mind bugs fucking up your progress or geometry and textures going wrong at times#still think they should be working on fixing that mess but alas.. I doubt we'll get any updates of that sort#sometimes if you play too long the audio just.. leaves. as do the pick up / dialogue prompts#sometimes they don't show up even if you have only been playing a little while#some plants have dialogue prompts except they don't do anything. the bucket side quest or whatever got scrapped#but the buckets all still have pickup prompts... anyway. it's a mess. but a lovable one

#In other words: Hell#Lol#Normally I wouldn't show my process but I Must drag this paper it is So bad#Plus you can see some of the other little tricks I do! I leave things mo~stly alone but I will sometimes cheat where I can!#I'll also reconstruct if something can't be saved or if I just forgot to draw something on paper lol - or if I ran out of room#Ughhhh these edits took foreverrrrrr#I did some quick math on it somewhat recently actually#An average single edit takes ~4 minutes of continuous work#Averaged between the low of a couple minutes and high of getting into double digits#There was a whole thing about each page having approx. 30 doodles and each doodle being 4mins of editing and each set being 6 doodles etc. e#Basically I put a lot of time into my art and the majority of that isn't even drawing lol#I have Got to find a way to flip that metric...#But with these - these Easily averaged into the double digits each#It's mostly cleaning - stray lines don't take much time at all! Even reconstruction isn't bad#But for whatever reason this paper just Textures Horribly#Leave my blank spaces blank! I don't want toning there!#You can even see! I didn't leave behind all that many guidelines! It was just the paper being awful!#Some of it's still there if you tip your screen at certain angles#I can't because - broken hinge lol - so I mostly had to guess where to hit#Ugh. I'm just glad I'm finally done with this paper#I miss Norcom so bad :( I haven't been able to track down a distributor for years now

So I caught a shiny Cremice in Palworld and have a Firefox that is a literal flamethrower now and also have a daymare cat thing that follows me everywhere. Is this normal gameplay?
